Remember a few years ago when everyone was obsessed with Krispy Kreme donuts? I still haven’t ever had one. Are they all they’re cracked up to be? Think I’ll stick to apple cider donuts from the farmer’s market and the occasional Dunkin Donuts munchkin.

Just discovered your site. Love, love the watercolor of the donuts as my oldest son has always seriously loved donuts. I love this about him as I only recently recalled that in my last month of pregnancy with him I too seriously craved donuts. How could I have forgotten this and funnier still I was never ever that big of a donut fan. He was who he was from the get go. Though I will also add that Krispy Kremes are lovely, they certainly do not hold a candle to Shipley donuts, furthermore, I must say that should you ever encounter Krispy Kremes and/or more fortunately fresh Shipley donuts you will come to naturally realize that Dunkin Donuts are seriously not really donuts. Your watercolors are delightful!!!!
OOOh I will have to hunt down some Shipley’s!
Just found your blog today and will be reading it backwards but I had to comment on the donuts. I love krispy kreme and apple cider from a local farm but can not stand dd’s. I think they smell funny. If you get a chance try the kk’s. Off to read more of your blogs.
I was looking at this painting of donuts (again) and decided that something about it is very Wayne Thiebaud-esque. Maybe it’s the round shapes and the fact that they are donuts…he always used to paint cakes and donuts and ice cream and other round edible things. Love this painting!
it’s been a while since your last post.. hope you and your baby are doing great!! waiting for this week Lonny watercolors!
They look yummy !!
krispy kremes are amazing. you need to try one! you won’t regret it.
I promise, they trump Dunkin Donuts every day of the week. Get a regular glazed when the Hot Now sign is on…it’s heaven.
Oooo that looks yummy and pretty!
