The painting in the right corner is an abstract watercolor I was commissioned to do for Penelope McDonnell’s apartment at Canyon Ranch in Miami. It was featured in July’s Lonny.

Here are some big abstracts I painted for my apartment. Ever since I did the one above I’ve been thinking of different color combinations and I can’t wait to do more.

I painted these friends for Alex- they are bigger than they appear here- about 2′x3′. I chose those colors to go with the rest of her room. We’ve also got this Paris print by Wayne Pate.

We’ve got a yellow, pink, and gray thing going on. She seems to like rocking in her rocker. That’s a Roberta Roller Rabbit pillow…LOVE everything in that store.

The crib bedding is Q Collection Junior. I stalked these patterns and could not find them anywhere! Then lo and behold, they showed up on Gilt. Got to love Gilt. There are some sheets still at Giggle. The crib skirt is little elephants- so cute! And the quilt is Rikshaw. Alex seems to like it so far!

Sorry for the lack of posts- I’ve been a little busy! Meet Alexandra Jude, aka Alex, born July 8, 2011. She is the most precious little angel!

Did I mention that I am 39 weeks pregnant? Yep. As in, any day now! Lately I have been having the age old pregnant lady craving- ice cream. Pistachio, hazelnut, and chocolate gelato from Amorino to be exact. After dinner with my sister-in-law at the Grey Dog last week, we walked a few blocks downtown to give it a try. I had the hazelnut. And then it was all I could think about. So….I have been getting my ‘exercise’ from walking to Amorino, then walking back home with a gigantic ice cream cone. Counterproductive?? Definitely. But sooooo worth it.
